If the tickets available online are sold out, it is still possible to buy them at the Ticket Office of the Caves. Admission is guaranteed.

To access the Frasassi Caves, the obligation remains, until 30.04.2022, to:
- Surgical mask for the visit (being a closed place)
- FFP2 mask for the shuttle bus.

Sanitize your hands with the disinfectant gel available along the access path to the caves

Wear the mask

Wear the mask for the entire stay inside the caves while waiting at the ticket office and along the way with the shuttle bus


Cave visits last 75 minutes. The course, which is equipped and easy to access, is 1,500 metres long.


Groups are accompanied by professional guides provided by the Consorzio Frasassi.


The temperature inside is a constant 14 °C. We recommend you wear a pullover and comfortable shoes.

Heart patients

The visit is not recommended for heart patients


The path is slippery at times, we recommend the use of comfortable non-slip footwear


For visitors with limited mobility access is possible until the beginning of the second room , the room 200

Disabled people in wheelchairs

Access to disabled people in wheelchairs is only possible in the first room


Access to the path is possible with strollers only in the first room, to continue with the baby we recommend a baby carrier

You must present yourself at the ticket office 30 minutes before the booked admission.


Caves and Museums closed on 4 December, 25 December and from 10 to 30 January inclusive.

Regulation for dogs

Small dogs are allowed to enter the caves, free of charge, but only in the dog carrier/bag or they must be held in your arms. For large dogs you find at the parking area, by the ticket office, free dog boxes that you can use depending on availability.


Smoking is forbidden inside the caves

It is forbidden to touch the limestone formations, remove or break the concretions

Parking La Cuna

The main car park is located at the ticket office of the Caves, in La Cuna - Genga station, where a camper area is also set up. A shuttle is available to customers for transfers from the ticket office to the entrance to the caves. The caves can also be reached on foot (distance 1.3 km).

Parking San Vittore

The car park is located at the entrance to the San Vittore delle Chiuse hamlet, a few minutes' walk from the Caves. In this case it is necessary to obtain the ticket beforehand (online via ticketone or at the ticket office at La Cuna - Genga station) and then proceed on foot to the entrance of the Caves.

Public Parks

In the hamlet of San Vittore a short walk from the caves near the abbey there is a public park with games and benches.


The consortium Frasassi prepares an adequate number of additional inputs in response to requests from tourists.
